Taste Of Douglas County

Thursday, August 23rd
5:00pm – 8:00pm

Wouldn’t it be great if you could go to one restaurant that had all your favorites in one place? This month, one of the hottest tickets in town grants you that very wish. The 16th Annual Taste of Douglas County brings everything from fun, casual dining to elegant extravagance together for an evening of gastronomic delights.

Enjoy the premier food sampling event in the county, with offerings from Viewhouse, John Holly’s Asian Bistro, Trestles Coastal Cuisine, Kneaders Bakery & Café, Crave Real Burgers, Pegasus Restaurant, the Airplane Restaurant – Colorado Springs, Old Chicago Tap Room, The Donut House, Larkspur Pizzeria & Cafe and more. Taste of Douglas County will feature mouth watering samplings from over 40 establishments, many of which will be offering menus, coupons and other incentives to encourage you to visit their establishments for your next night out to enjoy another scrumptious meal.

In addition to the numerous restaurants scheduled to be a part of the Taste of Douglas County, Briccy’s Ice Cream and Colorado Kernels Popcorn will be on hand to sweeten up the evening. Beverages will be provided by Pepsi, Castle Rock Beer Company and Enchanted Grounds Coffee. There’s a little something for you ale lovers too, Castle Rock Brewing Company will be hosting a beer seminar and tasting event.
As if the promise of sampling so many different types of cuisine wasn’t a big enough draw, you will also get to experience the frenzy and fun of the chefs’ cooking competition. Adam Friesem will be back to defend his 2017 title and, this year, cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the competition. Finally, don’t miss the Rocky Mountain Harley Davidson Motorcycles on display and the cherry on top of this sundae, the 2008 Lamborghini Murciélago, which will be visiting from Overdrive Raceway in Monument. In addition to bringing out their Lamborghini, which is valued at $400,000, Overdrive Raceway will also be offering samples from their sports grill at the event.

Hosted by Mike Boyle, host of Mike Boyle Restaurant Shows, Taste of Douglas County, the “best food festival in Colorado,” is an unforgettable night out that food lovers won’t want to miss. For tickets, go to www.tasteofdouglascounty.com or call Mike Boyle at 303-903-0017.
