Parker’s Own Gameday Baseball

“Faith Matters. Character Matters. Excellence Matters.” The driving forces of Gameday’s culture are at the core of everything they do to help mold and shape young men first and baseball players second. Gameday is a Christian based, non-profit company focused on creating a better baseball environment for youth players and their families. Gameday believes in three things; people, passion and purpose. The people that comprise Gameday care about the development of the youth involved, not just on the baseball field but in life.

With 28 teams spanning across youth, high school, and college, Gameday is quickly becoming the premier program for baseball development in Colorado. This year, the program boasts two newly turfed infields with top-of-the-line portable fencing. This allows Gameday the ability to host local and regional tournaments such as their “Big League Experience Tournament Series” for youth teams ages 9-14. So far, these tournaments are a great hit in the baseball community, with more tournaments scheduled every weekend through July. Their top of the line facility is located at 9345 Double Angel Road, and in addition to the fields, the 30,000 sq. ft. bubble includes five full batting cages, a full sized infield, four pitching mounds, strength and conditioning area and a skylight to enhance that feeling of playing outdoors, even while in the bubble.

In keeping with their motto of “Faith Matters. Character Matters. Excellence Matters,” Gameday is also constantly sending teams on community outreach projects throughout the state. Players learn the importance of selflessness and servant leadership by volunteering their time to various programs throughout the state.

New this year is Gameday’s sponsorship of the Colorado Rockies Junior Broadcaster at select Rockies games in 2017. Players (from any program throughout the state) can enter for the opportunity to announce the home half of the 6th inning at Friday and Saturday Rockies home games! It’s just another way the program is expanding the love of baseball throughout Colorado. To enter your lil’ slugger for a chance to be a Junior Broadcaster, go to www.road2gameday.com/baseball

In addition to the tournaments and youth baseball, Gameday will also be fielding 6 elite high school teams and 2 college teams. These teams will travel throughout the country to premier showcases and events, continuing to put Gameday on the map in the baseball world.

If we’re talking baseball, we can’t leave out the beloved tradition of a good old-fashioned home run derby! Gameday is hosting their inaugural Home Run Derby the July, and would love participation from the entire community! There are brackets for all youth (9-14) players, with awesome prizes and trophies for the winners. If your son is interested in participating in their 2017 Home Run Derby (July 3rd-5th), just follow the link on their homepage. Cost for entry is only $20, includes a t-shirt and 2 minutes of pitches!
