Honoring Our Veterans

Memorial Day Veterans’ Service of Remembrance

Stand shoulder to shoulder with your neighbors and join the Parker community in honoring the brave men and women who gave the greatest of sacrifices at the 8th Annual Memorial Day Veterans’ Service of Remembrance.

Ponderosa Valley Funeral Services and J.S. Parker Cemetery invite you to share and participate in this most important Memorial Day event honoring our beloved Veterans. The Memorial Day Veterans’ Service of Remembrance will take place on Monday, May 29th, beginning at 10:00am at the J.S. Parker Cemetery (located on the west side of Parker Road, just south of the shopping center at the northwest corner of Parker Road and Mainstreet.)

This year’s ceremony will include the Presentation of US Flag to Honor Guard by the Douglas County Colorado-Chapter Harley’s Owner Group, a selection of Patriotic Songs to be performed by the Parker Chorale, Knights of Columbus St. Joseph Assembly #2618 and Parker American Legion Post #1864, the Presentation of Colors by Peterson Air Force Base Honor Guard and the Welcome by the Honorable Mike Waid, Mayor of Parker.
Additionally, Command Surgeon at NORAD and USNORTHCOM CAPT Berth Merrill will be delivering an inspirational message as part of the ceremony and in closing, a 21 Gun Salute, TAPS and Folding of the Flag by Peterson Air Force Base Honor Guard.
Take a moment out of your day to honor those that served so bravely.

We may not know them all, but we owe them all.
